GDPR

According to Article 13 (1) and (2) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter referred to as the GDPR),we hereby inform:

  1. Seven Seas Maritime Services (7Seas) with its seat in Szczecin, Niecała 9 Str., Poland, phone. +48 91 4318391, is a licensed Employment Agency (No. 2303) and is the controller of personal data. The contact details of the controller: e-mail: biuro@7seas.pl / phone: +48 91 4318391
  2. Personal data will be processed for the purpose of the maritime sector job matching services based on the consent of the data subject (the legal basis for the processing: GDPR – Article 6, 1. a)). Sending application to our e-mail: biuro@7seas.pl/ anna.malkowska@tmaec.co.uk and provide personal details is an expression of the consent to the processing of data and provided to participate in recruitment, but failure to do so prevents the use of job matching services. Personal data such as name, position, address, telephone number, contact details, information about previous employment and qualification documents will be collected and used to contact the job seeker.
  3. The data subject shall have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
  4. In relation to persons who have taken a job on a ship through 7Seas, process the personal data referred in to “Application Form”, Seafarer Employment Agreement, the name of the company, the name and nationality of vessel to which the work is performing (legal basis : GDPR -Article 6, 1. c)).
  5. The personal data will be stored for a period of 24 month and the data specified in the above item 4. – for a period of 7Seas acting as an employment agency providing job matching services for persons seeking employment on ships.
  6. The data subject shall have the right to request from the controller access to and rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing concerning the data subject as well as the right to data portability; Where processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller, the data subject, on grounds relating to his or her particular situation, shall have the right at any time to object to processing of personal data concerning him or her.
  7. 7Seas discloses the personal data to:
    • the data subject
    • maritime companies seeking employees
    • entities which process personal data on its behalf, i.e.:
      • hosting company
      • courier company
      • Poczta Polska
      • port ships agents
      • hotels
      • travel agencies arranging travels to / from the workplace
      • medical services providers
      • maritime training centres
      • insurance company
  8. 7Seas, discloses the personal data of subjects who have taken up work on the ship through it to the competent maritime administration bodies on the basis of applicable legal provisions.
  9. Personal data will be transmitted to third countries, for which the European Commission has not taken a decision on the adequate level of data protection according to Article 45, 3. of GDPR. The personal data will be transferred on the basis of consent of the data subject, expressed after informing him or her of the possible risks of such transfers for the data subject due to the absence of an adequate decision and appropriate safeguards (GDPR; Article 49 ,1. a)).
  10. The data subject shall have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of his or her habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement if the data subject considers that the processing of personal data relating to him or her infringes the Regulation.
  11. 7Seas does not use automated decision-making systems for data subjects (including profiling).
