MLC 2006 COMPLIANCE

Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland operates according to the MLC 2006 compliance and the appropriate Polish Laws.

  1. Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland does not charge any direct or indirect fees to the seafarers associated with the recruitment process.
  2. Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland informs the seafarers of any costs he will be obliged to pay during the recruitment process.
  3. All the recruited and employed seafarers are obliged to have all the necessary health checks to perform duties as well as they must obtain a valid health certificate.
  4. Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland does not recruit any persons under the age of 18.
  5. Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland does not engage in any activities that may endanger the seafarer’s rights to employment and the improvement of his qualifications as well as any personal data of all seafarers remain confidential according to the seafarers right to confidentiality.
  6. All seafarers are to be treated as equals no matter the sex, colour of the skin, religion, social background and the like. Also the recruitment process proceeds without any discrimination or prejudice.
  7. Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland provides the seafarer with a free of charge, immediate and polite information as well as enables the contact with the family.
  8. Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland has a 24/7 emergency number.
  9. Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland cooperates only with shipowners and clients who are MLC 2006 compliant.
  10. Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland informs the seafarers of their rights and responsibilities deriving from their employment contract. The seafarers are allowed an appropriate amount of time before and after signing the contract to familiarize with terms and conditions, as well as they receive a copy of the signed contract. The employment contract is signed by the seafarer and Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland acting as an agent on behalf of the shipowner.
  11. The recruited and employed seafarers are trained, qualified an skilled as well as have all the necessary documents for the specific position. All the translated certificates and documents are presented and checked in order to be confirmed as obtained in a legal way.
  12. Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland provides the seafarer with all the necessary information concerning the journey before the contract starts.
  13. Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland checks the references of the seafarer by contacting the appropriate person, whose contacting details were provided by the seafarer.
  14. Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland has a seafarer’s complaints and grievances procedures, available via the company’s web page, which is MLC 2006 compliant.
  15. Seafarer’s Employment Agreement is in accordance with applicable regulations, MLC requirements and applicable collective bargaining agreement. Copies of the documents are available on board the ship in English.
  16. A copy of our management system certificate or other documentary evidence is sent on board and/or to the ship owner stating that Seven Seas Maritime Services/Triton Marine Poland is operating in accordance with applicable national laws or regulations, flag state and MLC 2006.
